Unconditional Love for all

Unconditional Love for all. Very good one.

All of us need to believe that we are loved and are lovable. We begin life secure in our mothers love, swaddled in our innocence. Love was never in question, but over time, we become increasingly unsure...In The Path to Love , Deepak Chopra says that by bringing spirituality back into our relationships, we can discover a world of depth and meaning. He says: You were created to be completely loved and to be completely lovable for your whole life. The problems begin when we start taking love for granted and get possessive about life. We deny freedom and space to the people we love our children, spouse, friend. Unknowingly, we start killing our love. And we create bondage for ourselves, too, when we curb the freedom of the person we love.Osho says: Freedom is a higher value than love. Love stifles and gets stifled when it encroaches upon the space of another. Love blossoms in the space of freedom, in breeziness. Once we realise the nature of true love, we no longer fall in love we actually rise in love.At this point love becomes unconditional. We give our love and feel grateful to all those who receive it, because this way we unburden ourselves.Osho says when the clouds are full of rain water, they have to shower. It is their need. Similarly, when we become full of love it is our need to give our love to one and all. Then we are not concerned whether or not we receive love in return. We simply enjoy giving.Conditional love is attachment; it is bondage, so it is also an illusion. We say we want to be free but are we brave enough to be alone? We fear loneliness. We fear being unoccupied. We started out looking for love, but maybe we were really looking for attachment. Our need may have been attachment all along. Love was the way to attain it, the bait.Unconditional love will not become attachment. But the moment you say to your partner, Love only me, you begin to possess her. And in possessing, youre making your lover into an object to be used.Immanuel Kant said that to treat another person as a means is an immoral act. In other words, if you see your lover as being there for your gratification, or to fulfil your sexual desires, or to provide something else for you... youre reducing your partner to an object. You are in bondage so inevitably, youll eventually desire freedom. You will be bored by what you have and yearn for what you dont have. Or you could try to be free even while possessing your partner, causing a struggle.Osho says, I want to be a free person, and yet I want you to be possessed by me; you want to retain your freedom and still possess me this is the struggle... We must remain individuals and we must move as independent, free consciousness. We can come together, we can merge into each other, but no one possesses. Then there is no bondage and then there is no attachment.Love becomes a blessing, a real celebration when love breathes fresh air free from possessiveness and jealousy. There should be no judgment, no blame, no expectations and no attempts to control. The soul can grow only in freedom and unconditional love provides freedom. Osho says: My message is beyond biology and theology... Love is nothing but sharing of your consciousness with as many people as possible; not only with people, but with animals, trees, birds, clouds, stars.

Ugadiya Hardhika Shubhashayagalu

Ellarigu, Ugadhiya Hardhika Subhashayagalu. Today, April 9th is celebrated as Ugadi by the people belonging to the states of Karnataka, Andhra and as Guddi Padwa by the Orissa folks. As part of this festival, Krishnan, HarishT and myself were invited by Suresh and family to have the Ugadhi feast. Suresh is a Teluguite and is from Hyderabad. He had invited us for the lunch. DK came to my house at around 12pm noon. We went to Mayuri and picked up some nice saffron ladoos(mouth watering!!!).We arrrived at Suresh's house at around 12.45pm. He stays at the Colony Woods apartment in Bellevue. We had to search a little bit for his house but we figured out his house within a couple of mins. We went to his house and were welcomed by his wife and him. He has two cute kids, one daughter and one son. Daughter is 4 yrs old and the son is nearly one year old. His B'day is coming in the month of May (precisely on 15th).
Usually the lunch time is around 1 or 1:30pm but since harisht had caught up with some work we waited until he came. In the meantime, we had nice Vadas as appetizers.:-)

Harish came at around 2:15pm and we chatted for around 20mins. Then we headed towards the dining table, where lots of items were kept. Here is the list of items that his wife had made by taking so much pain. Thanks to her.
Mango Rice, Ugadi Kichidi (this contains a mix of sweet and sour items), Vadas, Sambar, Papad, Plain Rice and two varities of pickles (Mango and Lemon). We finished our lunch at around 3:15pm. It was a very very HEAVY LUNCH:-).

Then we started to watch TV. Some crappy movie was playing. We chatted for around 45 mins regarding the Indian Film industry and how hopeless it has become these days. During that time Suresh told us the he read an article in Rediff about Narayana Murthy giving tips for the Indian Film industry. It seems that he has given a 5-pt plan to the Indian film industry. Hope NM is not venturing into the Film Industry:-) Here is the link to the site http://us.rediff.com/money/2005/apr/08murthy.htm

We then had Desserts served by Suresh's wife and it had 4 varieties of Ice Cream and Gulab Jamoon. I had 4 Jamoons and my stomach was really aching with fullness. Suresh told that Jamoon was a very good appetizer. It seems that if you have a very heavy meal and would like to digest it very fast have Jamoon with Ice cream. Hope that is true.

I initially thought that I will go to office and work, but because of eating sooooo much, I changed my mind and went home.

It was a fantastic Ugadi Celebration. Thanks to Suresh and his wife for showing us so much hospitality. I had home food that I was longing for months.

HAPPY CHANDRAMANA UGADI TO ALL OF U

Port of Seattle

A View of the Port of Seattle from the sky. It is such a beautiful sight. The small red cranes on the right hand side are the gaint cranes that are used in the port. It is on the Washington Lake. Just besides this port is the world famous Pike's Market. I had been to Pike's market on my earlier visit to Seattle. In this market the main attraction is the fun the people have with the salmons. I have taken a couple of photographs, i will post them here. Posted by Hello

Beautiful Photo at Denver!!!
